Paula Hoffmann (*1996) explores the parallels between architecture and the human psyche in her work. Her artistic practice is characterized by a poetic approach to construction. Her pronounced material fetish for building materials often forms the basis of her space-creating installations. Using three-dimensional objects and circuit diagram-like drawings, she examines the built environment and its materials in terms of their function beyond their static properties to provide care and security. She is a co-founder of the Cake and Cash Collective and part of the artist duo Mahnke/Hoffmann. She lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
Paula Hoffmann takes part in DISLOCATIONS—on the spot.
